ALL TEAM REQUIRMENTS

• Available to meet periodically in person and by phone  between May - July 

• Familiarity with Design District where camp is being hosted

• Prior experience working in a customer service and/or educational roll

Director

• Develop and execute engaging and hands-on curriculum

• Research brands and companies that could be partners or sponsors for Designer Camp

• Reach out, coordinate, and confirm with guest speakers and field trip locations utilizing Designer Camp contracts

• Work alongside Designer Camp Team to coordinate sponsorship 

• Work alongside Designer Camp Social Media Coordinator to obtain photos for marketing purposes

• Responsible for checking students in and out daily 

• Manage setup and teardown of camp studio daily during camp session

• Manage interns during camp week

• Responsible for parent and camper relations during camp week

• Maintain camp supply inventory

• Execute Orientation and Final Presentation Day

• Work alongside Designer camp Team coordinating snacks and lunches 

Staff Design Mentors

• Passion for youth education

• Prior experience working in education or with youth

• Excited to help plan and / or participate in Designer Camp

• Has great communication skills and ability to problem-solve

• Has own reliable transportation

• Prior experience working within the Design Industry is a plus

• Pass a background check in addition to full review by Founders and Director.

Assist the Designer Camp Team as a camp counselor focusing on event logistics. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Currently studying design, communications, marketing or child development

• Passionate about working with youth. Experience a plus

• Desire to network with the local design community and work in event planning in the future

• Able to commit to our camp schedule

• Team player, positive attitude with the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment

• Physically able to lift, move, and organize

• Skills in catering coordination a plus

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

Assist in the design and development of our Designer Camp graphics with an emphasis on marketing collateral, emails, social media and sales. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Graphic design experience

• Currently studying graphic design or a design related field

• Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop and Illustrator)

• Passionate about working with youth. Experience a plus

• Desire to learn graphic design and network with the local design community

• Able to commit to our camp schedule

• Team player, positive attitude with the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment

CAMPER RELATIONS INTERN

Assist the Designer Camp Team as a camp counselor focusing on parent and camper interaction.

PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN

Document the camp experience by working alongside of our Designer Camp Team and Photography Instructor as our Photography Intern. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic composition skills in photography

• Access to a DSLR camera and standard photography lenses

• Photoshop knowledge a plus

• Currently studying photography or a design related field

• Passionate about working with youth. Experience a plus

• Desire to learn photography and network with the local design community

• Able to commit to our camp schedule

• Team player, positive attitude with the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment
