Zoom Classroom Etiquette
Familiarize yourself with the Zoom App before camp begins. There are a number of tutorials on Zoom.us or on Youtube.
Create your Zoom profile with your First & Last name, so we can identify you before we let you into the “classroom”.
Feel free to add a photo of yourself to your profile, we’d love to see you! :)
For best results and a stable connection, use a desktop computer with a wired internet connection. A laptop with a strong Wifi connection is your next best option.
If possible, use a headset or headphones.
Please find a quiet place free from distraction (siblings, pets, parents, televisions, phones, open apps or web pages on your computer, etc.)
Close any unnecessary applications on your computer to help the Zoom app run better.
Please show up on time for our scheduled Live Zoom classes. There will be a waiting room before we can let you into the “classroom”
Avoid multitasking. You’ll retain the discussion better if you refrain from replying to emails or text messages during camp and wait to work on your project until after class ends.
Stay on “MUTE”, please click the “raise hand” button if you would like to contribute.
Maintain RESPECT in both speaking, writing and appearance.
Join in on the discussions by submitting your questions through the Q&A button at the bottom of your screen. A Designer Camp Counselor will be monitoring your questions.
Embrace the moment and the technology to the greatest extent possible. Have fun
