I am the parent/guardian of the registered student who is attending Designer Camp Digital 2020. I understand that by attending Designer Camp Digital, My Child’s name (or any fictional name), voice, comments, quotations, images, video footage, and/or property (collectively “the Material”) may be captured and recorded. I further understand that Designer Camp records all class sessions/meetings conducted through Zoom. These Zoom recordings are included in the Material.

I, hereby consent to and grant Designer Camp LLC and its, affiliates, assigns, licensees, legal representatives, successors-in-interest, and their employees and agents (collectively “Designer Camp”, the irrevocable, unrestricted, absolute right to record and use (including the right to duplicate, publish, distribute, perform, publicly display and create derivative works) and grant others the right to use, in perpetuity throughout the world and in the U.S., the Material in any manner and for any purpose whatsoever, and in all formats or media, known or unknown.

I understand and agree that the Material may be published in various media and on the internet, including but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, newspapers, magazines, press releases, newsletters, etc. that are open and discoverable to the general public. I understand that once the Material described herein are disclosed, they may no longer be subject to privacy protections.

I understand that the Material may be cropped, edited, digitalized, converted or otherwise altered in any way and that whether any of them are used, and if so how any are used, is entirely in the discretion of Designer Camp. I hereby relinquish all rights to review the Material or approve any use of the Material. I acknowledge that nothing contained herein shall obligate Designer Camp to make use of the Material.

I hereby release Designer Camp from any and all existing or subsequent claims based upon the ownership of and/or use of the Material (including, but not limited to any claims for damages for faulty processing, distortion, reproduction or optical illusion, libel, defamation, infringement of the right of publicity, invasion of privacy, portrayal in a false light, false endorsement, public disclosure of private facts, copyright infringement or unfair competition or any other claims whatsoever). I hereby waive the benefits of any statute or law that purports to limit the effect of this Media Release and Consent to be Recorded, and expressly waive any rights under California Civil Code §1542, which says: a general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him must have materially affected his settlement with the debtor. I also hereby waive any benefit of any “moral rights” or similar laws or any similar rights. I hereby covenant that I shall not commence or maintain any suit, proceeding, claim or action whatsoever against Designer Camp, whether at law or in equity, in connection with its ownership or use of the Material.

This Media Release and Consent to be Recorded and all terms thereof shall be binding upon, and inure to, the benefit of the parties, their successors, assigns and executors, administrators, personal representatives and heirs.

I have read the above authorization, release and agreement, and I fully understand the content. I hereby certify that I am the parent or guardian of the above named child and do hereby give consent without reservation to the foregoing on behalf of My Child. A copy, facsimile, or electronic copy of a signature shall have the same force and effect as an original signature.
