COVID-19 safety protocols

Designer Camp is a boutique camp that can only accommodate a limited number of students in order to keep the experience personal, hands-on, and unique. As we welcome back campers and staff, safety is our top priority. We will be further limiting the attendance and adhering to all LA & Orange County Public Health guidelines as they stand & will adapt as they evolve. For our 2021 camps, we will only be able to accommodate approximately 15 students each week. We will continue to adapt the following practices to match local mandates as they evolve:

  • All Designer Camp staff will be fully vaccinated

  • Masks will be worn by students and staff at all times indoors, except when eating or drinking

  • Masks will be provided for staff, campers, and guests as needed

  • Recommended social distancing will be followed

  • Temperature checks will be conducted each morning at drop-off. Anyone with a temperature over 100.4 will not be admitted to camp and will be asked to remain home until 72 hours fever free

  • Sanitation stations will be available throughout camp at all locations

  • To limit the sharing of supplies, each student will receive their own personal “Designer Kit” as part of their registration cost. Each kit comes equipped with all the necessary supplies for camp. Our hope is that students will continue utilizing their design kits beyond camp and through-out the year.

  • Classrooms and materials will be sanitized daily

  • A combination of indoor and outdoor workshops have always been a part of our curriculum. This year we will put an emphasis on bringing the students outdoors as often as possible

  • We have put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19, but due to the nature of viruses, we cannot guarantee that you or your family members will not be exposed to or become infected with COVID-19. When visiting Designer Camp, you agree that you and everyone in your party will adhere to the safety protocols that are currently in place.
