"Design Within Reach exists to make authentic modern design accessible. Authentic means that it's the real thing. We don't do 'inspired by' or 'just as good as' or 'in the spirit of.' We stand for authentic modern design. DWR makes authentic modern design accessible."

We are fortunate to have Design Within Reach as one of our workshops. DWR will be hosting a private design talk on authentic modern design & tour for our lucky campers!

DWR changed that by providing access to iconic designs for the first time, and we've continued to bring you the best in authentic modern design ever since. They deal solely with the best manufacturers to deliver heirloom-quality designs, many of which are exclusive to DWR.

At DWR, they are passionate about design – past, present and future.

Caroline Cecil

Caroline Cecil / Caroline Cecil Textiles

From as early as she can remember, Caroline has had her hands in something creative and an eye to beauty. Some of her first loves were collage and fashion history, which she researched voraciously. As a young girl, Caroline spent hours poring over editorials and clipping images, later collaging these pictures into artist journals. Over time, they amassed into an archive of colorful inspiration.

Since those formative years, her experience has spanned designing textiles for couture runway fashion collections to conceptualizing mass-market assortments.

Prior to CCT, Caroline spent a decade in the industry designing textiles for Target, Levi’s, Angela Adams, and working as design director in Silicon Valley where she hired / managed a staff of designers, and traveled to China regularly for sourcing, product development, and production expansion.

Caroline Cecil with Caroline Cecil Textiles will be one of our Designer Camp speakers! She will be hosting a Textile Design Workshop for our campers this summer, teaching them all about her area of expertise.

Since the launch of her eponymous line two years ago, Caroline Cecil Textiles has received considerable press, spanning Interiors Magazine, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, RueMag.com and most recently, the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. CCT is currently available in showrooms across the country, and is soon to launch in Canada marking the brand’s expansion into international markets.

We are so excited to announce that West Hollywood's new M·A·C Pro Store on Melrose will be hosting an exclusive beauty workshop for our Fashion & Styling Camp! The talented M·A·C Team will be giving our campers an inside look into the new Fall 2016 trends followed by a private shopping event. We are already counting down the days!

M·A·C is the world’s leading professional makeup authority because of our unrivaled expertise in makeup artistry. Make-Up Art Cosmetics (M·A·C) started life in Toronto, Canada in 1984. Makeup artist and photographer Frank Toskan and salon owner Frank Angelo became frustrated by the lack of makeup that photographed well, so they decided to create their own. From making the cosmetics in their kitchen to selling them straight from the salon to finally launching M·A·C from a counter in a Toronto department store in March 1984.

The company took the industry by storm, offering a wide range of products that blended street savvy with glamorous style and panache. Behind the counter, the M·A·C approach was notably different. Rather than driving sales through traditional promotional techniques, M·A·C relied on the integrity of its carefully formulated product line. Adding to the image was a touch of outrageousness. A company that honors individuality and self-expression above all else, it brought a brilliant sense of drag and theatre into the sleek M·A·C stores and department store counters. M·A·C is a proud community of professional makeup artists working together to bring our vision to life.
